At 18:00h local time, a spectacular ceremony opened the official test session in Qatar. Almost five and a half million watts lighted up the circuit of Losail. The test didn’t finish until 01:00h in the morning but both Ducati Marlboro Team riders were in positive mood. Track temperatures at 20:00h were around 18°C.

The weather matched the forecasts for the second day of the Official MotoGP Test at Jerez de la Frontera, with overnight rain continuing this morning to dictate the track conditions. The downfall ceased shortly before the afternoon’s 40-minute “qualifying” practice but the track remained damp and slippery throughout.
